School Fundraising & Events

Here at the Simon Community NI education is fundamental to our work. Your pupils will also benefit from an increased awareness about the issue of homelessness and knowing that they have contributed towards our mission to help end homelessness in Northern Ireland

Our School Fundraising is broken into two sections, Primary and Secondary;

Primary

A fundraiser along with the charity’s Teddy Bear S.I.M.O.N. (Sleep, Information, Move, Ordinary, Now) will visit your school and speak to the pupils, telling them about our work.  The talk is interactive and fun.

Each pupil receives a collecting envelope and information leaflet, asking family and friends to support the work of the Simon Community NI.  The envelope will also contain a pencil and balloon.

The school will also be presented with their very own Simon bear to keep as a reminder of their fundraising.

Secondary

A fundraiser will come to your school to give a presentation and talk to your pupils as an assembly or as part of a lesson in Citizenship, LLW, Religious Studies or English.

Create your own event

Non-uniform day – This simple and effective idea is one that both students and teachers will love.

Sponsored walk – Get fit and raise money at the same time.

Sponsored sleepover in the assembly hall – Love telling ghost stories? Then this is the event for you.

Join in our ‘Sing for Simon’ campaign – Do your students fancy themselves as the next One Direction or Little Mix?  This is the perfect event to get some team spirit going.
