SIMON COMMUNITY NI MAKE SPRING CLEAN CALL

04 April 2011

With spring clean season in full swing Simon Community NI are putting a call out for clothes and unwanted gifts for their shops in Newtownards, Ballynahinch, Belfast and Bangor. Donations have been unusually low since the busy Christmas period. This has an inevitable knock on effect for shop sales and funds raised for Simon Community NI.

Fundraising Manager Noreen Kennedy said ‘We have noticed a large drop in the quantity of clothing donations since the start of the year and we are now making an urgent appeal for more.

If you don’t live close to a shop, call someone on our fundraising team on 028 90 232 882 and we will arrange to pick the items from your home.

The services we offer homeless people and families have never been more relevant than they are today; because of this we are more committed than ever to addressing homelessness. By donating to our shops you will be playing an important role in ensuring our support helps those who need it most.’

All money generated through fundraising at Simon Community NI funds services such as our Harm Reduction Services and Rent and Deposit Bond scheme.
